ASX-listed mining firm Robust Resources Limited said Tuesday it has received results for a further two diamond holes drilled in Lakuwahi caldera prospect on Romang Island, East Nusa Tenggara.

Hole LWD 24 intersected a 20m gold zone from 20.75m down hole. The zone has a gold grade of 1.02g/t plus a coincident silver grade of 99.2g/t. (2.46g/t gold equivalent). The intercept is significant in that it now confirms a North East / South West strike direction of over 200m for this identified precious metal zone, it said.

Hole LWD 23 intersected 9.65m @0.55g/t gold and 47 g/t silver from 20.5m including 2m @ 1.l5g/t gold plus 46g/t silver from 22.5 m.

According to the company, both LWD 23 and LWD 24 intersected wide base metal zones in addition to the strong gold and silver values.

Robust has now completed 969.5m of diamond drilling on the large caldera-hosted Lakuwahi Gold-Silver-base metal prospect on the project, and is on track to complete its 2,500 metre program by June this year.

As a result of the continuing positive drilling results, the Board has decided to accelerate and extend its Romang exploration program. As previously announced an additional diamond rig is to be purchased. An increased budget for the second half of the year is also currently being formulated to provide for a full year drilling programme of 5000m.(denny)
