ASX-listed mining firm Robust Resources Limited said Monday it has received results for a further diamond hole, LWD 025, drilled in the highly prospective Batu Mas gold and base metal prospect within the Lakuwahi Project on Romang Island, East Nusa Tenggara.

Hole LWD 025 was drilled to the north of the extensive shallow gold zone, identified in previous holes. Whilst it contains shallow gold and silver with similar values to those reported from the previous 10 holes, hole LWD 025 was notable for a 23m wide intercept of 4.8% combined Lead (Pb) / Zinc (Zn) from 86.7m to 109.7m. A higher grade Pb /Zn zone of 2.0m width from 92.lm to 94.1m grading 15.0% Pb + 6.04% Zn (21 .04% Pb/Zn combined), 1.51g/t Gold (Au) and 89ppm Silver (Ag) occurs within this main zone of altered volcanics, it said.

The gold / silver mineralisation higher in the hole occurs over 2 metres from 22.7m to 24.7m 2.0m at 1.01 g/t Au and 44ppm Ag for a gold equivalent of 1.63g/t Au, within a zone of brecciated silica barite. This mineralised horizon corresponds well with previously reported results of up to 5m at 4.44g/t Au from 33 metres in hole LWD 017 which was drilled 100 metres to the south of LWD 025. The gold / silver zone remains open in all directions.

Batu Mas (Gold Rock) is the name now given to the first of the three prospects identified to date within the Lakuwahi caldera. Robust Resources has now received assay results from 11 holes drilled into Batu Mas in the current drilling campaign. All 11 have reported good gold and base metals values.

Robust has now completed 1,076.2m of diamond drilling on the large (approximately 24 Km2) Lakuwahi Gold-Silver-base metal project on Romang Island, and is on track to complete its 2,500 metre program by June this year.

As a result of the continuing positive drilling results, the Board has decided to accelerate and extend its Romang exploration program. As previously announced an additional diamond rig is to be purchased. An increased budget for the second half of the year is also currently being formulated to provide for a full year drilling programme of 5000m, it added.(denny)
