Robust updates drilling results from Romang gold project

(30 November, 2010)--Robust Resources Limited is pleased to announce it has received the initial results from the metallurgical testwork programme the Company has been conducting for the past six months. The aim of the programme is to demonstrate potential for the economic exploitation of the polymetallic sulphides occurring throughout the Lakuwahi project area. A key component of this testwork is the suiphide flotation methodology, which concentrates the valuable minerals into a commercial product.

The results from the sulphide flotation tests have returned excellent recoveries of all base metals and precious metals demonstrating significant assay upgrades. In these bulk concentrate tests, gold recoveries average 84.3%, silver 93.0%, zinc 97.2%, lead 91.1% and copper 94.6%.

The testwork was conducted on composite samples drawn from drill core across the Lakuwahi Project and is therefore considered largely representative of the polymetallic sulphide mineralisation. Independent Metallurgical Operations Pty Ltd (IMO) is managing the programme and Ammtec Ltd is performing the laboratory work, both based in Perth, Western Australia.

Robust Technical Director John Levings comments on the results: ?The economic viability of a project based on the polymetallic sulphide mineralisation at Lakuwahi is largely dependent on the metallurgical properties of the feedstock. The testwork completed so far has confirmed the simple mineralogy and good mineral liberation characteristics of the sulphide grains under an average grind size.

?The testwork to date has also shown the mineralisation to be highly amenable to flotation and this is extremely positive for the Project. The results demonstrate the potential of the Lakuwahi mineralisation to be upgraded to a marketable bulk concentrate and the high base metal, gold and silver recoveries obtained at this early stage of a testwork program are considered exceptional.

?Further testwork is continuing and is designed to produce upgraded, differentiated, flotation concentrates, which have the potential to be superior products for market. The positive results to date are a further catalyst to continue the company?s aggressive exploration programme to delineate precious metal-bearing polymetallic sulphide resources.?

Drilling
Robust is also pleased to announce final assay results from drill hole LWDO93 from the Batu Hitam Prospect. The company?s previous ASX release on 22/09/2010 announced the intersection of massive sulphides in this hole within a broad zone of mineralised breccia. Assay results now confirm that hole LWD093 has intersected some of the strongest base metal mineralisation so far encountered in drilling on Romang Island.

LWD093 also intersected significant near-surface gold-silver mineralisation, located above the base metal breccias. A summary of the significant results from hole LWD093 are presented below:

13 metres1 at 2.60 g/t Au EquIvalent2 (2.20 g/t Au and 24 g/t Ag) from 8 metres
And 52 metres at 4.1% combined Zn + Pb + Cu from 81 metres including 5 metres at 26.1% combined Zn + Pb + Cu from 121.4 metres

LWD093 is located in the corridor between Batu Hitam and Batu Mas and is the target of current drilling of resistivity anomalies identified by the recently completed 3D IP Resistivity survey.

Managing Director Gary Lewis comments on the results: ?The wide zones of sulphide mineralisation encountered in LWD093 and other drill holes, coupled with exceptional metallurgical recoveries in all base and precious metals support our objective to discover and define a significant economic mineral resource base on Romang Island. The results are a testament to the perseverance and systematic exploration and testing carried out by Robust?s technical team. Drilling continues, assays are being compiled and interpreted, and we look forward to the release of additional results in the coming weeks.? (end of edited excerpt)
