Drillhole LWD10 was collared on the same line of section and 30 metres north of Robust?s record drill hole LWD051 which previously intersected 57.5 m @ 6.75 g/t Au equivalent. LWD10 intersected strong gold ? silver mineralisation from surface to 51 metres downhole, confirming the extension of the mineralisation previously obtained in LWD051. Directly beneath the precious metal zone, the hole intersected 130 metres of polymetallic mineralisation to the end of the hole at a depth of 176 metres. This polymetallic zone is the strongest so far encountered during Robust?s drilling campaign on Romang Island and includes within it a 16 metre zone at 1% copper.
A summary of the results from LWD 106 follows:
51 metres at 2.90 g/t Au Equivalent (1.51 g/t Au and 84 g/t Ag) from surface
Including 13 metres at 5.49 g/t Au Equivalent (2.95 g/t Au and 152 g/t Ag) from 14 metres
130 metres at 2.6% combined Zn + Pb + Cu from 46 metres
Including 16 metres at 1.0% copper from 46 metres
And 2 metres at 20.3% combined Zn + Pb + Cu from 71 metres
And 3 metres at 16.4% combined Zn + Pb + Cu from 125 metres
And 3 metres at 8.1% combined Zn + Pb + Cu from 166 metres
In addition, drillhole LWD 087, collared in the south-east of Batu Mas, intersected a strong precious metal zone from shallow depth. This positive result extends the southern portion of the Batu Mas Zone to the east with mineralisation remaining open in this direction. Underlying and partially overlapping the gold-silver zone is a 45 metre thick zone of polymetallic mineralisation.
A summary of the results from LWD 087 follows:
48 metres at 1.78 g/t Au Equivalent (1.35 glt Au and 26 g/t Ag) from 1 metre
Including 7 metres at 4.21 g/t Au Equivalent (2.97 g/t Au and 74 g/t Ag) from 21 metres
45 metres at 2.2% combined Zn + Pb + Cu from 25 metres
Managing Director Gary Lewis commented: ?The final results from these two holes at Batu Mas continue to confirm and expand the near-surface precious metal gold-silver plume at Lakuwahi. This is in line with our expectations and of particular note, is the very strong polymetallic mineralisation (including a copper-rich zone) in hole LWD106 which is still open at depth. This is our best polymetallic intersection to date. In light of the exceptional metallurgical recovery results released two weeks ago, this intersection takes on particular significance for the definition of a large-scale polymetallic project at Lakuwahi.
?These results round off 12 great months for Robust in which our targeted exploration programme on Romang has consistently delivered outstanding drill results across our key projects in the south of the island. We look forward to continuing such successes as we move towards the announcement of our maiden JORC Resource later in the current fiscal year, and the commencement of drilling in the highly prospective North Romang project area.?
