UK-based Rolls-Royce plc announced Friday it had won a repeat order for gas turbine power generation equipment from an independent power production consortium led by PT Menamas.
Rolls-Royce said the multi-million pound contract was for a second 23,000kW RB211-6562 dual-fuel generating set to a newer power plant located in Samarinda, East Kalimantan.
?The new order includes the supervision of installation and commissioning of the RB211 and a Long Term Service Agreement,? the company said in a statement.
Previously, Rolls-Royce has provided its power generation to a turnkey power plant project also in Samarinda. The 60-MW power plant was commissioned in 1998 and is powered by two RB211 units.
According to the statement, PT Menamas has a long-term contract to sell the electrical power produced by the gas turbines to state electric utility PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara. (robert)
