Rosan P Roeslani resigns from BRAU

Rosan Perkasa Roeslani confirmed that he would resign as president director of PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk (BRAU) to allow the company under the management of professionals.

BRAU stated in a press statement on Tuesday that the succession of leadership had long been planned and now it was the right time to do so. Rosan will appoint Eko Santoso Budianto as his successor in the company.

He said that after resigning he would focus on developing the value creation in Recapital Group, which wholly owns BRAU. ?Currently, the businesses of Recapital are growing rapidly in the sector of banking, finance, infrastructure, property, and tourism. I want to involve myself more in the sectors,? he said.

Eko Santoso Budianto was the first CEO of PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk. Previously, for three years he was the operational director of PT Berau Coal, a subsidiary of PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk.

?We?ve long planned this transfer of leadership. This is the mechanism we?ve applied in Recapital. We gradually transfer the management of companies we?ve acquired to the professionals,? said Rosan, who has been the President Director of BRAU for the last three years.
