Rowan bags drilling contract from Petronas

US offshore drilling firm Rowan Companies reported on Friday that its Rowan EXL I jack up rig has been awarded a one-year contract with Petronas in Indonesia that commenced at the end of October 2013.
The company said that daily rate for the rig was US$160,000, in line with the previous day rate.
The company?s other rig Rowan Gorilla II is also currently working in Indonesia until March 2014 for state oil, gas company PT Pertamina at daily rate of $165,000.
