Rudi confirms PLN East Java can only absorb 80 mmscfd

Energy and Mineral Resources Vice Minister Rudi Rubiandini confirmed that apparently the state utility PT PLN in East Java could only absorb 80 mmscfd of gas, instead of 130 mmscfd as originally planned, as it had already used cheaper coal.
?The other 50 mmscfd will be utilized for other activities,? he told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Friday.
He also said that the gas PLN received from Nusantara Regas for its Muara Karang power plant was only 165 mmscfd instead of 210 mmscfd as planned before. The rest will be used for its Tanjung Priok power plant.
?We?re seeking a possibility of gas swap with PHE so that PLN can get additional 45 mmscfd for its Tanjung Priok power plant,? he said.
He said that the gas supply from Nusantara Regas decreased from the planned 23 cargoes to only 16 due to rescheduling of delivery time. ?But next year it will be normal,? he said.
