Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Rudi Rubiandini has undergone fit and proper test in the process of selecting the new head of SK Migas, the agency that replaced BPMIGAS.
?The fit and proper test was conducted (at the state palace) early today. The decision will be made next week. God willing, we hope the decision will be the best for the country and nation,? Rudi told Petromindo.com.
Rudi said at the palace, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Vice President Boediono gave him four instructions: First, maintain integrity, second, carry out reforms, third, maintain a conducive investment climate for national and foreign investors, fourth, empower all national components in doing business in the oil and gas industry.
?Should I become Head of SK Migas, I will to some extent regret it because thus far I haven?t done much enough to the minister. Anyway, if it is a job from the state, I am ready to accept it and hopefully it will bring benefits to the country and nation,? he said.
Sources say should Rudi become Head of SK Migas, he will be replaced by Susilo Siswohutomo, now a staff expert at the ministry, as vice minister. Rudi himself served at BPMIGAS as operational deputy when he was appointed to be vice minister last year to replace Widjajono Partowidagdo, who died while climbing Mount Tambora. Rudi thus knows well the scope of activities and tasks of SK Migas.
