Rudi mentions Commission VII Deputy Chairman name court hearing

Suspended chairman of the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas Rudi Rubiandini, speaking at the Corruption Court on Tuesday, revealed his meeting with Zainudin Amali, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission VII, which oversees the energy and mining sector, at Hotel Indonesia in 2013, Kompas reported on Wednesday.

Rudi, who has been named suspect in a high profile bribery case, told the court that the meeting discussed among other things Idul Fitri bonus for Commission VII members.

Rudi has been caught red handed by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of receiving bribe money from Singapore oil trade Kernel Oil. After the hearing, Rudi declined to provide further comments to journalists about the role of Zainudin. He only said that he had taken the bribe money because there was a request for money from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and Commission VII of the House.
