Rudi named as SKK Migas Chairman

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has changed SK Migas, a temporary agency set up to replace upstream authority BPMIGAS late last year, into SKK Migas and named Rudi Rubiandini as its chairman.

SKK Migas, or the Special Task Force for oil and gas upstream sector, will fully assume the tasks formerly carried out by SK Migas, President Susilo told a press conference in the State Palace on Friday.

Rudi was formerly the Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources. The vacant position will now be taken by Susilo Siswoutomo, an expert staff at the Ministry. ?I?m grateful to be named by the President as the Deputy Minister. I stand ready to help execute programs which have been planned by the Minister (Jero Wacik),? he told petromindo.com.

Rudi had served at BPMIGAS as Deputy Chairman of Operation when he was appointed to be Deputy Minister last year to replace Widjajono Partowidagdo, who died while climbing Mount Tambora.
