S. Kalimantan miner seeks coal buyers

South Kalimantan firm PT Karunia Agung Infiniti is looking for buyers for its coal production from its mine that is located in Batu Ampar, Tanah Bumbu regency.

Company official Y. Sunu Bagus P told Petromindo.Com on Monday that the mine has been producing since 2006, but only at small volume. From the beginning of this year, the mine has been able to produce 250,000-300,000 tonnes per month, Sunu said.

?We still have space for new buyers,? he said.

According to Sunu, coal production from the mine has CV of 3,600 kcal/kg (GAR), TM of 38% with low ash and sulfur.

The mine still have mineable reserves of 20 million tonnes, he said.

The company transport coal production through a 15-km haul road to a jetty port owned by PT Dian Unggul Baratama. The port, which is also located in Batu Ampar, is equipped with 250,000-tonne stockpile and is able to serve 330-feet barge. The port is 3-4 hours away from Tanjung Pemancingan anchorage, he said.
