S. Kalimantan police confiscate Baramulti?s coal pier

South Kalimantan-based coalminer PT Baramulti Sugih Sentosa (BSS) can no longer carry out coal loading activities in Banjarmasin because the local police have confiscated its pier and stockpile facilities, local daily Banjarmasin Post reported Tuesday.

The Banjarmasin city police on Monday closed down BSS?s pier and stockpile facilities on the ground that they were operated without legal permit. Company officials failed to produce necessary documents on them.

BSS?s spokesman Togam Gultom said however that they had obtained licenses to operate the pier and stockpile facilities. (*)
