S. Korea?s Komipo seeks 420,000 tons of coal

Korean Midland Power (Komipo) is seeking 420,000 metric tons (mt) of coal in two separate tenders, with bidding to close on June 11, Platts report Friday.

According to Platts, Komipo is seeking 60,000 mt of bituminous or sub-bituminous coal, with delivery scheduled between June 25 and July 15.

The tender is only open to producers that produce a minimum of 1 million mt and export a minimum of 500,000 mt. The second tender is for 360,000 mt and is open to producers and traders. Delivery period for the second tender is scheduled between June 25 and July 15. (*)
