S. Korea?s Kosep opens tender for 240,000 tons of coal

According to Kosep, the tender involves coal with the following specifications: calorific value of minimum 5,350 kcal/kg NAR, total moisture of 15 percent maximum as received, volatile matter of between 22 percent to 45 percent air dried basis, total sulfur of maximum 0.5 percent as received, ash of maximum 17 percent air dried basis.
?Bidders may offer in lots of 60,000 tons or 120,000 tons on both free on board and trimmed and Cost and Freight (CFR) basis,? Kosep said, adding that the bid would be closed by April 3.
Kosep operates some power plants in South Korea with a combined capacity of 5,565 megawatts.
