S. Korean investor to develop power plants in C. Sulawesi

A South Korean group through its local unit PT Energi Surya Lestari (ESL) has expressed interest to develop a solar power plant and a gas-fired power plant in Central Sulawesi, according to a local report.

Antarasulteng.com quoted Bunga Elim Somba, a senior official at the provincial administration, as saying on Wednesday that ESL plans to build a 200 MW solar power plant and a 200 MW gas-fired power plant.

The output will be distributed to industries in Palu special economic zone, he said, adding that the South Korean investor met with local government officials late last week. No further details were provided including the name of the South Korean company. (*)
