S. Sumatra's coal production slightly increases

South Sumatra province has exported 4.21 million tons (MT) of coal during January-October 2010, an increase by 1 million MT compared to the same period of 2009, Antara news reported

South Sumatra province?s industry and trade head Eppy Mirza said Monday that value of the coal export reached US$251.09 million, up from $221.83 in the same period of 2009.

South Sumatra governor Alex Noerdin said that the province administration hope the province's coal output could increase in the future thanks to expansion of coal infrastructure, including the construction of coal railway to and port in Tanjung Api-Api. (*)
