Safe Astoria awarded a $6.9m contract

Norway firm Prosafe announced on Thursday it has been awarded a contract by Swiber Offshore Construction Pte Ltd (Swiber) for the provision of the Safe Astoria semi-submersible accommodation vessel for operations located in Indonesia?s Natuna Sea offshore gas gathering facilities.
On site operations are planned to commence end-December 2013, with a firm period of 60 days. In addition, Prosafe has granted Swiber four additional seven-day options.
Total value of the contract firm period is approximately US$ 6.9 million.
Prosafe is the world's leading owner and operator of semi-submersible accommodation vessels.
