Saipem?s rig to be mobilized for Muara Bakau drilling

Italian oil and gas firm ENI SpA will mobilize the Scarabeo 7 drilling rig which was used to spud the Merakes exploration well in East Sepinggan block to the Muara Bakau block, both located offshore East Kalimantan, according to an industry source.

The source told Petromindo.com that the mobilization of the Scarabeo 7 rig of ultra deepwater semi-submersible type owned by Italian firm Saipem SpA will be conducted next week for drilling of a development well in Jangkrik field.

?Currently there is one development well planned,? the source said.

Jangkrik field is located within Muara Bakau PSC, where ENI is the operator and 55 percent interest holder, while the remaining 45 percent is held by GDF Suez.
