Saipem says wins offshore contracts worth $550 million

Italian oilfield equipment firm Saipem has been awarded three offshore contracts in the North Sea and Indonesia for a total of US$550 million, Reuters news agency reported quoting the company's statement on Tuesday.

Saipem, controlled by oil major Eni , said two contracts covered engineering, procurement, manufacture and installation of two platforms and two pipelines for the Tangguh liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, 3,000 km east of Jakarta, Indonesia.

The third contract was awarded by Talisman Energy as part of the development of the Tweedsmuir field, 200 km northeast of Aberdeen, Scotland. (*)
