Saka: Drilling at South Sesulu-2 well to be completed soon

PT Saka Energi Indonesia, the upstream subsidiary of IDX-listed gas distribution company PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), said that drilling program at the South Sesulu-2 appraisal well in South Sesulu block, offshore East Kalimantan, will be completed next month.

?The South Sesulu-2 well drilling will be completed next month. Its POD (plan of development) will be soon submitted if the result is good,? Saka?s Operational Director Tumbur Parlindungan told Petromindo.com on Wednesday.

Saka in December of 2014 drilled one exploration well in the block, SIS-A#1, where it struck gas reserves estimated at 500 bcf. The firm plans to drill at least another two wells, and hopes to get a PoD approval in 2017. Saka owns a 100 percent interest in the block.
