PT Saka Energi Indonesia, a subsidiary of state-controlled gas distribution firm PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. (PGN) is in the final process of farming in interest in Muara Bakau PSC, offshore East Kalimantan, an industry source said.
The source did not give detail about the percentage of interest it planned to farm in.
The source told Petromindo.com on Thursday that the farm-in agreement with Italian firm Eni Spa, which operates the block, has been signed, and is now waiting for approval from upstream authority SKK Migas.
Muara Bakau PSC is 55 percent owned and operated by ENI and 45 percent by GDF Suez.
