Saka?s Fasken block producing 200 mmscfd of shale gas

PT Saka Energi Indonesia, a subsidiary of state-controlled gas distribution firm PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. (PGN), said that the Fasken area Eagle Ford shale properties in Texas, the US produced 200 mmscfd of shale gas as of October of this year.

?Target for this year is 220 mmscfd of gas,? Saka Operation Director Tumbur Parlindungan told Petromindo.com.

In the first quarter of this year, the block?s production was 147 mmscfd.

Last year, Saka has signed a cooperation within the agreement?s framework to fully develop approximately 8,300 acres of Fasken area Eagle Ford shale properties owned by American firm Swift Energy. Swift Energy sold a 36 percent full participating interest in its Fasken properties to Saka for $175 million in total cash consideration.
