Saka starts pre-survey ahead of West Pangkah exploration

Upstream company PT Saka Energi, a subsidiary of IDX-listed gas distribution firm PT PGN Tbk, has since end of last month started pre-survey activity for a planned exploration at the West Pangkah field, Pangkah block, offshore East Java Province.
This was revealed on Tuesday by Arif Abadil, a senior staff for operation affairs at upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas Jawa-Bali-Nusa Tengara (Jabanusa) regional office.
He said that Saka through Saka Indonesia Ltd is committed to carryout drilling program at the West Pagkah field. He did not provide further details.
The Pangkah block, located off the northeast coast of Java, is 100 percent owned by Saka.
