PT Saka Energi Indonesia plans to spud the Sidayu 3 exploration well in Pangkah block, offshore East Java and is now waiting for a greenlight from upstream authority SKK Migas for the plan.

?We are ready to spud the well. Hopefully, we can do it in the coming weeks. We are waiting for the permit from SKK Migas,? Saka Energi Pangkah?s General Manager Tumbur Parlindungan told Petromindo.com.

Separately, SKK Migas?s Business Support Deputy Rudianto Rimbono said SKK Migas is preparing the letter of permit for the firm.

The Pangkah block, located off the northeast coast of Java, is 100 percent owned by Saka, a subsidiary of state-controlled gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN). The firm bought out the block from American firm Hess Corp in two transactions worth Us$915 million executed in 2013 and 2014.
