East Kalimantan coal miner PT Jembayan Muarabara, a coal unit of Singapore-listed coal miner Sakari Limited, is finalizing the extension of a 1-year supply deal for 400,000 tons of coal to Indonesia-listed coal miner PT Golden Energy Mines'(GEMS) trading unit, an industrial source told Petromindo.Com.

The extension of the supply deal is expected to be concluded in the near future. ?It?s hoped that in early February, the cargo is already supplied to Sinarmas,? the source said.

The volume is the same with last year?s supply, the source added.

GEMS will supply the coal to its sister company at Sinarmas? pulp and paper unit in Gresik, East Java, the source said. The price is based on the current government?s reference price (HBA).

Jembayan will supply the coal to GEMS with calorific value of 5,600 kcal/kg (GAR).
