Sakari, GEMS lower 2013 coal volume supply deal

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Jembayan Muarabara, a coal unit of Singapore-listed coal miner Sakari Limited, has shipped the first cargo at the end of January to Sinarmas? pulp and paper unit in Gresik, East Java, under a renewed 1-year coal supply deal with a trading unit of Indonesia-listed coal miner PT Golden Energy Mines (GEMS), an industry source told Petromindo.Com.
The deal has been signed with a volume of around 30,000 tons per month or 4 barges every month to Gresik, the source said, adding that the agreed price is based on Indonesia?s reference price (HPB).
The agreed volume under the new contract is lower compared to last year?s total supply, the source added.
Jembayan will supply the coal to GEMS with calorific value of 5,400 kcal/kg (GAR).
