Sakari works on revised delivery schedules

SGX-listed Sakari Resources Limited, formerly known as Straits Asia Resources Limited, says that the Mahakam River has been re-opened on a limited basis for coal barges and other river traffic to pass through the area of the collapsed bridge.
Coal barging is currently allowed during a 5-hour period each day with safety remaining a concern for the authorities and shippers.
Sakari had managed to complete all its planned shipments from the Jembayan mine in November before the collapse and will continue to work closely with customers on revised delivery schedules until normal barging traffic resumes.
Another Sakari?s project, the Sebuku mine, is unaffected by the bridge collapse and continues to have a strong final quarter. (romel)
