Salamander completes disposal of interest in two oil and gas blocks

UK oil, gas company Salamander Energy Plc, announced that it has completed the disposal of five percent interest in two Indonesian blocks -- the Offshore Northwest Java and Southeast Sumatra PSC's to Risco Energy Pte Ltd.

The UK company holds shares in the blocks through Salamander Energy (Java & Sumatera). The disposal was a follow-up of the two parties? sales and purchase agreement signed on September 2, 2011.

Risco is a Singapore-based energy investment company whose board of directors includes former executives of IDX-listed oil, gas firm PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk Tom Soulsby and Chris Newton. Bob Kamandanu, a trusted executive of conglomerate Ibrahim Risjad also sits on the board. (romel)
