UK oil and gas firm Salamander Energy has successfully shut in the Kambuna field offshore North Sumatra and moth-balled the facilities and handed over the field to state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero)
The firm in its 2013 full year results released on Thursday the field produced for longer than expected in 2013 before finally being shut in during the third quarter of 2013 when gas rates fell below the commercial threshold.
Salamander is the operator of the Glagah-Kambuna TAC with a 50 percent interest.
