Salamander to launch gas-condensate production at Kambuna

?The well head platform and pipeline were completed in the second quarter of 2009 and onshore production facilities are being commissioned. Production is expected to start up around the end of July,? the firm said in a statement.
The company?s production is expected to grow in the second half of the year as a consequence of the Kambuna production.
Last year, the firm produced 9,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd), up by 23 percent form the previous year, while its proved and probable reserves rose by 74 percent to 67.7 million barrels of oil equivalent.
As a result of the Kambuna production, the firm forecast its production for this year rose to the range of 15,000 and 17,000 boepd.
The firm also said it has started spudding the South Sebuku-1 in East Kalimantan.
?In the past fortnight we have spudded the South Sebuku-1 exploration well in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. This is an onshore oil prospect, estimated to contain 30 MMbo and lies close to a producing field. In the event of success we are prepared to appraise South Sebuku with a location already selected and surveyed,? the firm said.
Aside from Indonesia, the firm has also operations in countries such as Vietnam, Thailand. (*)
