Salamander waiting for final approval of Tutung PoD

UK-firm Salamander Energy said it is now waiting for a final approval of the Plan of Development (PoD) from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for the Tutung gas field in Bontang PSC, East Kalimantan
The firm said in a statement on Wednesday that the PoD has passed the scrutiny of upstream authority SKK Migas and the agency has recommended the approval of the PoD for the gas field.
?Formal approval is now awaited from the Ministry of Energy,? it said.
The firm announced in May 2012 the successful appraisal of the Tutung gas-condensate discovery through the drilling of the Tutung Alpha-3 (TA-3) appraisal well
The firm submitted the PoD for the field to SKK Migas last year.
The Tutung discovery is located in the Bontang PSC and is approximately 37 km northeast of the producing Sangatta field. Salamander is the operator of the Bontang PSC.
