IDX-listed coal mining contractor PT Samindo Resources Tbk said on Wednesday it has allocated US$25 million for equity participation in a power plant project.
The company said in a statement that it will prioritize power plant project located in Kalimantan, to be in line with the company?s plan to acquire a coal mine there.
At the end of last year, Samindo said it participated in Kaltim 6 coal-fired power plant project tender held by state-owned electricity firm PT PLN, but then the project scheme was later changed from regular independent power producer (IPP) scheme to mine mouth power plant.
?The company is currently reevaluating participation in a mine mouth power plant project,? Samindo said.
