Samindo to expand heavy equipment fleet for Kideco coal project

IDX-listed mining contractor PT Samindo Resources Tbk said it will increase the number of heavy equipment deployed at PT Kideco Jaya Agung mines in East Kalimantan following renewal of mining services contract, effective from January 1, 2018 to March 31, 2023.
Through its subsidiary companies PT SIMS Jaya Kaltim, PT Transindo Murni Perkasa, PT Samindo Utama Kaltim and PT Mintec Abadi, Samindo has to conduct overburden removal, coal getting, coal hauling and drilling works for Kideco.
?Currently, there are 106 units of dump trucks and 10 units of excavators dedicated for Kideco. In 2018, the company will add 10 more units of dump trucks, one unit of excavator and one unit of crane,? Ahmad Zaki Natsir, Investor Relations of PT Samindo said to petromindo.com on Monday.
Based on the official statement from the company, Samindo?s subsidiary companies have to produce 48 million bank cubic meters of overburden, 10 million tons of coal production, 27 million tons of coal hauling and drilling.
Samindo previously stated that the production volume in the Kideco will increase every year. Zaki did not elaborate the value of the new contract Samindo and Kideco. ?However, the rate has to increase by 3 percent to 5 percent per year,? he said.
