Sampang PSC JV seeks to extend lifespan of Oyong, Wortel fields

ASX-listed Cue Energy Resources Ltd said on Wednesday that efforts are underway to potentially extend field life for the Oyong and Wortel fields in Sampang PSC, in Madura Strait, East Java.
?Facility studies are ongoing to optimize recovery and extend field gas production from Oyong and Wortel. The operator (Santos) is currently finalizing a Sampang Sustainability Project to potentially extend field life by two years or more,? Cue said in a statement.
Cue has a 15 percent interest in the PSC, while Singapore Petroleum Company holds a 40 percent interest and Santos with a 45 percent interest.
Cue said that exploration targets are being assessed by the Sampang PSC joint venture as part of this initiative and more information regarding project approval is expected on these two activities in the current quarter.
The gross combined average production from Oyong and Wortel for the quarter was 907 bopd and 66 mmcf/day, the company said.
