Samtan seeks Indonesia new coal mine acquisition

Appoints Richard Lee as a boss

South Korean firm Samtan, a 49 percent stakeholder of East Kalimantan coal miner PT Kideco Jaya Agung, is seeking new coal mine in Indonesia and, thus, inviting proposals for acquisition from any parties.

The company said that it is eyeing brown coal mines or operating mines and prefer mines in Sumatra or Kalimantan.

Samtan is also offering marketing agent service and inviting coal reliable suppliers to use their service.

Samtan has assigned C.H Richard Lee to run the company?s activity in Indonesia. Richard Lee is a former managing director of PT Kideco Jaya Agung. Lee?s position in Kideco has been taken over by Frank Choi. (denny)
