Samudera Shipping Services to purchase four vessels

Singapore Exchange listed shipping company Samudera Shipping Line Limited (SSLL) announced Tuesday that its subsidiary, PT Samudera Shipping Services (PTSSS), had entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement with PT Cumawis and PT Tankindo Perdana, to purchase four vessels for a total of US$1,392,577.

They are three vessels from Cumawis, namely WSB Nur Hidayah, MV Aquatic Conserver, and OB Cumawis 110, and one from Takindo namely MT Amanah.

Cumawis and Takindo are subsidiaries of PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk, which is also a major shareholder of SSLL.

?Following the purchase agreement, PTSSS' business will be reorganized into two divisions (i) Liquid & Gas Division and (ii) Marine Offshore & Dry Bulk Division. Each division will continue to provide sea transportation as well as shipping agency services,? SSLL said in a statement. (robert)
