Samudera takes delivery of another Supramax

Singapore-listed Samudera Shipping Line Ltd announced on Tuesday that | its subsidiary, Foremost Maritime Pte Ltd has on 11 April 2011 taken delivery of Sinar Kapuas, a newly built Supramax with a carrying capacity of approximately 57,700 dwt.

The vessel, the last of the two Supramaxes that the Group contracted in early 2008, was delivered at Jinhae, South Korea.

Sinar Kapuas will be deployed under time-charter and is on her maiden voyage today for loading of cargo in China destined for discharge in India.

On March 2011, the company took delivery of its first Supramax, Sinar Kutai. (alex)
