Coal mining PT Sanaman Coal said it has completed the scoping study on the plan to a 2x150 MW mine-mouth power plant in Musi Banyuasin recency, South Sumatra.

?We have just completed the first stage (of study on the project) that is scoping study and will continue with the second stage that is pre-feasibility study which will be followed by feasibility study,? Chief Operating Officer Ben Lawson told Petromindo.com on Monday Lawson said.

?We will hold a meeting with the South Sumatra governor to talk about the project,? he added.

The firm will use coal from its coal concession in the regency for the mine-mouth power plant. Earlier, Lawson said the JORC study on the coal concession, whose result was obtained last June, indicates the concession has a 102.5 million tons of coal reserve, which is higher than the figures indicated in the previous JORC study. The 2012 JORC study indicates the concession has about 87 million ton reserves, based on survey on about 24 percent of the 9,871 hectares of the total concession. The coal has a calorific value of 3,600 kcal GAR.
