Sanaman Coal reveals higher JORC reserves

Emerging coal mining company PT Sanaman Coal stated that reserves at its coal concession in Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra, has been raised to 102.5 million based on the latest JORC estimate.

Ben Lawson, Chief Operating Officer of Sanaman Coal told Petromindo.com that the latest JORC reserves estimate was obtained in June 2015.

According to the previous 2012 JORC report, the reserves was estimated at about 87 million tons from 24 percent of the total 9,871 hectares concession, with calorific value of 3,600 GAR.

From this concession, the company plans to develop a mine mouth power plant with capacity of 2x150 Megawatt. ?We are still waiting for the power purchase agreement with PLN, as soon as we get the deal we will start developing the power plant and commencing production,? he said, referring to the state-owned electricity company.
