Sweden?s Sandvik Materials Technology (Sandvik), which among others is engaged in the production of stainless steel, special allows, and titanium products, aims to derive sales revenue of about US$3 million from selling stainless steel tube and pipe products in the Indonesian market next year, the same as this year?s estimate.
?I would say, for this year we?re aiming or seeing some $3 million this year, and we anticipate or expect nothing less for next year? said Magnus Brodin, Regional Sales Director, Asia Pacific Tube Core and Standard at Sandvik to Petromindo.com on Thursday.
He said that Indonesia is one of the company?s important markets in the Southeast Asia region. He said Sandvik aims to capitalize on Indonesia economic growth particularly in the oil and gas industry.
Brodin said that to help meet the sales target, the company is eying projects run by oil and gas firms including Pertamina EP, Santos, and Husky Energy Inc.
