The adoption of Oil Pool Enlargement concept in Tapah-1 exploration well in Sangatta field in East Kalimantan has managed to deliver crude oil.
PT Pertamina EP reported that the sixth drill stem test from Lower Balikpapan formation at a depth of 1551-1554m has resulted in flows of crude at the amount of 1,017 bpd and gas at 1.0 mmscfd.
?This successful finding in eastern compartment of the Sangatta field is expected to provide a good momentum towards increasing production in Sangatta,? said VP Exploration Nanang Abdul Manaf in a statement.
Meanwhile, Pertamina EP also reported that production at Pertamina UBEP Ramba on Sunday hit a record high of 5,550 bopd, thanks in part to the drilling and optimalization activities in BN-106 and TL-38 wells.
