Friday, December 19 2014 - 04:14 AM WIB

The Sanggau regency in West Kalimantan has recently obtained additional power supply from the newly completed 2x7 MW coal-fired power plant, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Friday.

Local engineering and construction firm PT ZUG Industry Indonesia, which constructed the power plant, officially handed over the plan to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN.

PLN Director Nasri Sebayang said that although developed by local contractor, the Sanggau power plant is so far the fastest to be completed. Construction of the plant started in 2011.

Electricity from the plant will also be supplied to neighboring regency of Sekadau. (*)
