?The results of drilling at one well in the block flows oil at the rate of 5,000 barrels per day,? Gatot told Petromindo.Com on the sidelines of an oil and gas workshop in Anyer, Banten.

Gatot said he estimated oil reserve in the area at between 100 million to 200 million barrels.

?The drilling also indicated a significant amount of gas ,? Gatot said, but declining to estimate the gas reserves.

Tuban JOB is 25 percent owned by Santa Fe, 50 percent by Pertamina and 25 percent by American firm EEX Corporation.

Tuban is now producing oil from the Mudi field.

According to Gatot, the Sukowati field is the extension of the Banyu Urip field in the Cepu Technical Assistance Contract (TAC) , where by American oil and gas firm ExxonMobil Corp?s unit ExxonMobil Cepu Ltd. had found a proven oil reserve of 250 million barrels. (Alex)
