Santan bags 900 kt coal supply deal to KEWESPO

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Santan Batubara has secured a three-year contract with South Korea utility firm KEWESPO, industry sources told Petromindo.Com.

Santan will supply around 300,000 per annum, starting 2011, the sources said.

Santan is equally owned by IDX-listed mining contractor PT Petrosea and PT Harum Energy, a company controlled by the Barki family.

Santan targeted to produce 2.5 million tons of coal per annum in 2010 and 2011. The Company is the third generation CCoW holder with concession of 25,000 hectares in East Kutai regency. (denny)
