Santan Batubara declares force majeure

Indonesia-listed PT Petrosea Tbk announced Monday that its East Kalimantan coal unit PT Santan Batubara has declared force majeure on its shipment since December 7 to its respective customers due to Mahakam bridge collapse accident.
The company did not give further details.
Santan Batubara is a 50:50 joint venture between Petrosea and PT Harum Energy.
The Mahakam bridge in Kutai Kartanegara collapsed on Nov 26, which has completely halted coal barging operations of all miners located on the upper side of the Mahakam river. On December 10, the barging activity has been partially opened. (romel)
