Santos completes installation of compressor at the Grati plant

The installation of compressor at the Grati gas processing plant for the Wortel field in the Sampang block offshore East Java operated by Australian firm Santos Ltd. has been completed, according to a senior official of the firm.
?The installation of compressor in Grati was completed last month, and it has been tested this month,? VP Supply Chain Management & Business Support of Santos, Hanny Denalda told Petromindo.com.
She added that service company PT KPM Oil & Gas was the contractor to install the compressor.
Wortel is one of the three fields within the Sampang PSC, located offshore Madura Island, East Java, which is operated by Santos with a 45 percent interest. ASX-listed Cue Energy Resources Ltd has a 15 percent interest in the PSC, while Singapore Petroleum Company holds a 40 percent interest. The two other fields in the block are Oyong and Jeruk.
Last April, Cue reported that Wortel-3 and Wortel-4 wells flowed gas at a combined average rate of 37.36 MMscfd (gross) during the quarter (Cue net 5.19 MMscfd net of government take under the PSC). Gas from Wortel and Oyong is delivered to the Grati processing plant where it is sold for domestic power generation.
