Santos drills 3 wells as production pilot at Ogan Komering CBM PSC

ASX-listed firm Santos Ltd and partners have conducted drilling for production pilot project at Ogan Komering CBM PSC in Ogan Komering, South Sumatra, on 3 wells as part of this year's five-wells production drilling pilot project campaign.

"The fixed commitment has been fulfilled. Now they have started production drilling pilot project. The results are not yet known. Next year, they have 5 more wells for production drilling pilot project in their commitment," Head of CBM Department at Skk Migas Brahmantyo told Petromindo.com.

Separately, Santos External Relations Manager Didik Setyadi confirmed that production drilling pilot project is still underway, with next year the pilot project set to continue with at least 3 more wells to be drilled.

The Ogan Komering CBM PSC covers an area of 1,720 sq km in South Sumatra province and is situated in close proximity to gas transmission lines which provide access to markets in the West Java.

Santos Limited is the operator of the Ogan Komering CBM PSC, holding a 60 percent interest and PT. Ogan Interior Gas 40 percent interest.
