Santos Indonesian gas sales down, oil output up in Q4

Australian oil and gas company Santos Limited reported Wednesday that its Indonesian gas sales had declined to 0.9 petajoules (PJ) or about 154,743.3 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) in the fourth quarter of 2005 compared to the previous quarter of 1.0 PJ (171,937 boe).

Meanwhile, the company?s crude oil production increased to 46,900 barrels from 30,300 barrels in the third quarter of 2005.

Santos participates in the Brantas block in East Java and the Kakap block of West Natuna with 18 percent and 9 percent of working interests, respectively. Aside from the two producing blocks, Santos operates and participates in several exploration blocks. (Robert)
