Santos, partners complete 3D seismic over E. Java oil, gas discovery

Australian oil, gas firm Cue Energy Resources Limited on Tuesday announced that MV Geco Angler had completed acquisition of a 72 square kilometer 3D seismic survey over the Oyong oil and gas discovery on 26 January 2002.

Oyong is located in the Sampang production sharing contract (PSC), offshore East Java.

According to the company, the 3D seismic data will be used in conjunction with other ongoing studies to assist in preparing reserve estimates and in development planning.

Australian oil firm Santos Limited, the block operator, holds 45 percent working interest in Sampang PSC, while Coastal Indonesia Sampang and Cue holds 40 percent and 15 percent, respectively. (alex).
